Start with quests you can complete, sell genuinely spare drops, and measure farming income after potion costs. We do not have a measured live-server dataset that proves one best mesos-per-hour map. A route that leaves you with more mesos is more useful than a large gross-drop number with an expensive potion bill.

Early rewards you can plan around

These examples come from current community quest entries. Read the active quest and its prerequisites before travelling; they are not rewards you can collect repeatedly by revisiting the NPC.

QuestEntry levelListed meso rewardHow to use the route
I Need to Find My Daughter11760 across the two-stage chainBruce → Ayan → Bruce; complete the prerequisites first
To the Gray City, Kerning City12409Arthur → Roxy; combine it with citizenship setup
Arwen and the Glass Shoe29921 per completionReturn one shoe to Arwen in Ellinia; the community entry marks this quest repeatable

The Arwen item reference lists Fire Boar as a community-reported source. A rare quest drop is a possible bonus while training, not guaranteed hourly income. Check the opportunity cost before buying a shoe solely for the meso reward; its market price can exceed that reward.

Choose a farming spot with a short trial

  1. Start on a map where your attacks reliably connect. For early material context, consult Ribbon Pig and Bronze Ore sources.
  2. Note inventory mesos and potion quantities. Use the same start and end point so travel is included consistently.
  3. Run a ten-minute trial, then sell only the drops you actually intend to sell.
  4. Subtract potion replacement, ammunition recharge where applicable, travel and listing expenses from the proceeds. Keep unsold items separate.
  5. Repeat on the alternative map with the same duration. A single rare drop can distort one short session.

This is a comparison method, not a claim that these maps are the highest-paying choices. Better hit rate, fewer incoming hits and shorter refill trips can outweigh a monster's higher level.

Worked net-meso example

Suppose a session collects 8,000 mesos and sells spare equipment for 4,000. Replacing consumed potions costs 3,000 and travel costs 500:

EntryMesos
Collected currency+8,000
Completed NPC sales+4,000
Potion replacement−3,000
Travel−500
Net result8,500

These are invented accounting inputs to illustrate 12,000 − 3,500 = 8,500, not observed drops or a farming promise. If you already counted newly purchased potions in the ending cash balance, do not subtract the same cost twice. A listed but unsold item has produced no cash yet.

Keep, vendor or offer to other players?

Item situationCheck before selling
Active quest hand-inReserve the requested quantity first
Ore, gem or crafting inputCheck Bronze Ore, Garnet Ore and your next recipe
Spare equipmentCompare the NPC offer with a realistic player sale and the time/cost to sell
Scroll or unfamiliar itemIdentify the effect and current demand; rarity alone does not establish a price

Do not refine every ore automatically. A quest can ask for the raw material, and a crafted item can cost more to make than it sells for. Count ingredients at what you could otherwise use or sell them for, plus the crafting fee.

When player trading is unavailable

The official launch rule opens new-account trading 24 hours after a character on the account reaches level 15. Plan quests and NPC sales while waiting. A debt notice is a different restriction; see the Debt System guide.

Use normal gameplay and legitimate in-game trades. Nexon's debt notice targets RMT and unfair trades involving illegitimate mesos or items. This guide does not recommend outside meso sellers or treat a reset or NX purchase as required for earning your first mesos.
