MapleStory Classic KPQ: Entry, Stages & Puzzle Checks

Enter Kerning City Party Quest at level 21, find Lakelis on Channels 3–12, and understand coupons, rope and platform puzzles.

Go to Lakelis in Kerning City at level 21 or higher, on Channels 3–12. Nexon confirms those launch entry conditions. The current community guide describes a four-player party and five main stages.

Before entering

Form your party and agree who will lead. Check that everybody is in the appropriate channel and has potion space. The launch notes do not establish an upper level cap, so this page does not copy the old level-30 maximum as a confirmed restriction.

Stage-by-stage plan

StageWhat the party does
1Non-leaders ask Cloto their individual question, gather Ligator coupons and exchange the requested amount for a pass
2Three members test the rope arrangement while the leader checks it
3Three members test the platforms identified by kitten counts
4Three members test the numbered barrel arrangement
5Clear the remaining monsters and face King Slime; follow the NPC's completion prompt

Stop repeating failed combinations

For four ropes with three occupied, there are four arrangements. For five kitten platforms, choose three distinct positions: there are ten combinations. For six barrels, there are twenty. Number the positions consistently, change one arrangement at a time and let the leader check before moving. The combination counts are mathematical, not fixed solutions for your run.

Coupons and current questions

Collect the quantity your current question asks for. Do not automatically use an old Magician level-8 answer: all first jobs are level 10 in the launch notes. Other quiz wording can change, so read it in full instead of treating a historical answer table as an attribute requirement.

If the run will not progress

Check for an unexchanged coupon, missing pass, incorrect occupancy or a member still moving during a check. Use the current in-game messages when troubleshooting. Our source guide gives the detailed room maps; we do not claim a fixed loot outcome or a timed clear.
