MapleStory Classic Halloween 2026: Dates, Candy Quest & Rewards
Prepare for October 28: meet Malady, collect 100 Halloween Candies and check the announced Pumpkin Basket and Slime Attack rules.
The announced Halloween events run October 28 at 00:00 UTC to November 18, 2026 at 23:59 UTC, for characters level 10 and above. As of this page's October 25 review, they have not started. The steps below come from Nexon's launch announcement.
Malady's candy quest
- When the event opens, speak to Malady in Henesys or Kerning City and accept [Event] Halloween Candies.
- Defeat monsters level 10 or above for a chance to obtain Halloween Candies. A chance drop is not a guaranteed drop per monster.
- Collect 100 and return them to Malady.
- Follow the resulting hidden mission to share candy with children around Victoria Island.
The announcement describes the hidden mission but does not identify every child or give an exact visit order. We are not presenting a guessed route or calling it a completed playthrough.
Pumpkin Basket reward
Completing that hidden mission awards a Pumpkin Basket. Nexon lists it as a permanent, world-tradable one-handed sword with fast attack speed, 27 Weapon Attack, +3 Speed and seven enhancement slots. Check your equipment plan before treating an event weapon as an automatic upgrade.
Slime Attack
During the same window, Orange Slimes appear in Henesys, Ellinia, Kerning City and Perion. Their possible rewards include Halloween Candies and Red, Blue and Green Malady's Candy. The announcement lists recovery of 600 HP for red, 450 MP for blue, and 300 HP plus 300 MP for green.
Halloween Candies expire at the event deadline and are untradable. The colored Malady candies are listed as permanent and tradable. Do not confuse these item types when planning storage or buying from another player.
Before the deadline
Check your quest and item expiry in UTC. An old beta Halloween guide may use different rules. For a currently open quest, see Mark of the Beta; use updates to compare the announced schedules.
