MapleStory Classic Warrior: Stats, Skills & Job Advancement
Start Warrior in Perion, plan STR and DEX around your equipment, and understand Power Strike, Slash Blast and second-job choices.

Become a Warrior at level 10 by speaking to Dances with Balrog in Perion. Your second advancement at level 30 leads to Fighter, Page or Spearman. This is a starting decision guide, not a simulated best-DPS build.
STR first, DEX for a reason
Current community references recommend STR as your main stat. Before advancement, prioritize STR rather than copying a fixed STR-to-DEX ratio. Later, inspect the next weapon's requirements and count DEX from your actual equipment. Add base DEX only for an identified requirement or problem you have checked.
If you miss often, compare your level with the monster and check accuracy bonuses before permanently adding points. Fighting an easier monster or gaining levels can change the result without a reset.
Early skill priorities
| Skill | Decision it supports |
|---|---|
| Power Strike | Focused damage against one target |
| Slash Blast | Hitting clustered monsters rather than chasing single targets |
| Precise Strikes | An accuracy problem on your actual training map |
| Iron Body | Defense when repeated contact damage is expensive |
Unlock an attack you can use consistently, then compare the MP spent per kill. A party that gathers monsters may value Slash Blast earlier than a solo route with scattered spawns. Check prerequisites before spending SP. Current Classic skill changes mean the old rule of rushing HP-growth skills should not be assumed to apply.
Equipment and training checks
Inspect the weapon before buying: required attributes, attack and reach all matter. Keep potion money rather than spending the whole balance on an armor upgrade. Test a nearby map for misses, travel time and damage taken; a theoretical high-EXP monster is unhelpful if you cannot hit it reliably.
Your level-30 choice
Fighter, Page and Spearman are distinct second-job paths. Review the current trainer and skill descriptions before choosing; do not treat a test-server ranking as a permanent verdict. Return to the stat guide for the shared AP planning method, or use KPQ when you want a group objective.
