MapleStory Classic Mano: Location, Respawn & Missing Boss Checks
Find Mano at Thicket Around the Beach III and understand conflicting respawn references, channel checks and preparation for a first encounter.

Look for Mano at Thicket Around the Beach III on Victoria Island. It is an open-field boss with one listed spawn on that map, not a guaranteed encounter when you enter and not the King Slime fight inside KPQ.
Find the correct map
Use the Victoria Island world map to locate the Thicket Around the Beach area near the coast. Follow the connected maps until the map title reads Thicket Around the Beach III. Check the Roman numeral: stopping in I or II will not put you at the listed spawn.
Record the channel as well as the map. When investigating an empty location, changing channels changes the population you are observing; it does not prove that a fresh boss must be waiting there. Check the whole accessible map before deciding that the spawn is absent.
Is the respawn 30 or 60 minutes?
The current MapleClassic Wiki entry and the MS-Classic timer reference list 60 minutes. An older October 11 guide still lists 1,800 seconds, or 30 minutes. The current wiki labels its underlying data 0.9.0, so treat the one-hour value as a community reference, not a guaranteed live countdown.
A useful timer requires an observed defeat on the same channel. Arriving at an empty map gives you no starting timestamp. Time since your arrival is therefore not time since the previous kill, and repeatedly refreshing a web page cannot reveal the server's next spawn.
Prepare before waiting
The community stat entry lists 7,420 HP. Bring healing items and test whether your attacks connect before committing your potion budget. Regular monsters in the surrounding area do not establish how much damage the boss will deal to your character.
If you are here for a quest, confirm that its objective is active before joining a fight. Keep inventory space for the requested item and verify the quest log after the encounter. Neither touching the boss nor standing nearby should be treated as a guaranteed personal drop.
If you cannot find Mano
- Check the exact map title, especially III.
- Note the channel and whether you actually saw the last defeat.
- Look for another player already fighting the boss.
- Set a waiting budget; continue another quest if the map is contested.
For a party encounter with entry rules, use KPQ. For ordinary early-game gathering while you wait, see Ribbon Pig locations.
